This article will give you a few pointers about writing content on the web.

Be concise

Cut to the chase. Less is more in web content writing.
As a web publisher this means you should write about the half as you would with printed content.  People don’t like to read long pages packed with text. If the content can not be condensed, split it into several pages. Always start by writing the most interesting content.

Choose your headings carefully

Keep headings as informative as possible. People are in a hurry and need the inforimation as quick as possible.

Readers scan a page and only informative headers will catch their interest. Show the information they are looking for quick or they will hit the back button. The sole purpose of headings is putting the information up front.

Keep it simple

Keep your sentences, paragraphs and words short.
Use words that are easy to understand. Big words might look beautiful on a page but mostly they will only confuse the reader. Short sentences are important. Nobody wants to re-read a sentence because they forgot the beginning.

Links build credibility

Linking to  articles that support your theory build credibility. Anyone can throw up a website and call it a fact. A user will be more likely to trust you if someone else has similar theories or facts.
