Allways same problem with X61 from China :

0x330  ->  00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 - 8f ab 6b a3 30 71 49 dc

That mean in scancode mode i obtain this result :

Off: «k£0qIÜ
On:    B 9

Question : Is it possible to enter "Ü" with a qwerty KB ? and is it normal to choose translation OFF ?

Thanks for this. I have just made this and successfully recovered a password for TP R40. It only cost me AU$15 for all the parts, which saves getting another motherboard.

To KWEB & nino,
Just make sure that the translation if "OFF", I had that problem until I realised that the translation was on.

Sorry for my poor english ...
I've got a chinese X61 with qwerty keyboard, everythink worked well, but when i try to convert the HEX value, it give me this at line 330 :«k£0qIÜ (with a space before )
and with AA on, the equivalent is " B 9 " (with 4 spaces before)
Question : is it because the password had been registered with a chinese keyboard ?
Is there any possibility to convert this Hex value, to send it logging on a qwerty KB ?

too hard for me, please help ... thank you very much

From Paris, France Really Sorry for my english
