    I’m thinking about dropping TracFone and going with T-Mobile. I’m
    looking at a Nokia 6101 for my Grandpa. My only problem is that my
    Grandpa is a little hard of hearing and can’t hear some of the ring
    tones that are on some cell phones. He had a Nokia 5180ip and couldn’t
    hear it half the time.

    I got him a Nokia 1100, it was a little better but not much. I then
    got him a Nokia 2600 and there was one ringtone on it that was pretty
    good for him and he could hear it pretty well. Forget the vibrate
    function. They all suck equally in all cell phones.

    Does anybody know if the Nokia 6101 is as loud as the Nokia 2600? Or
    can the ring tone be put through the speakerphone on the Nokia 6101 to
    be really loud like the Nextel junk?

    I need something really loud for him. The 6101 has all the bells and
    whistles he wants. He’s not really old, just can’t hear crap.

    He’s pretty well set on the 6101

    Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    I have unlocked a few phones before, but my Nokia 6225 won’t give me its IMEI code, *#06# doesn’t work, and the code on the back of the phone is the wrong number of characters.
    I’m on the Telecom NZ network (a network which doesn’t use SIM cards).

    Can anyone help me?

    Some of mt frens av recieved a message frm my number telin dat av been bored wiz life n is going to commit suicide, etc etc

    This was done by sme1 else using a nokia 6610

    Can i no if i cn trace the person doing it
    I do suspect sme1 n av his number also

    aloha! i’ve got a nokia 1100…yea! i know… antenna went kaput’ and don’t know what ‘da heck if i can get it back…tried the ‘throw nokia off the train’ bit…that did’nt work…all this ‘antenni’ problem is courtsy of a neighbor with ‘ way too much time on his hands’. i have minutes, but no way to call . no antenna!!!!!

    Hello! This is important!!! Please help me! So, the problem is that I want to see deleted messages on my girlfriends phone (nokia 2600). Is that possible? And how?     if anyone is trying to unlock/debrand tracfone nokia 1100, they need more than just unlocking/firmware… a circuit board trace has been cut as well as a diode or resister or something was removed so firmware or software cannot be replaced… but it can be done and it will cost you about CAN$60.00. Bongowireless.com did it for me in Markham (north Toronto) Ontario Canada. He has the part that was removed and soft/firmware etc. i highly reccommend this set-up if you want a cheap highly-functional old nokia style phone although you may have to supply the phone as they are getting hard to come by especially in some areas. Bongo may have them if not try amazon

    Sorry, you are not going to find someone other than a high level Tracfone developer/engineer who will be able to help you with this. Their system uses an algorithm that utilizes the card number and various parameters on the phone. Unless you have intimate knowledge of their system you aren’t going to crack it for free minutes and if by some chance somebody does crack it, TF will cut you off within a month or two…
